Grombrindal: Legend of the White Dwarf (Hardback)
A Warhammer Age of Sigmar Anthology
One legend unites the stubborn and ferocious duardin throughout the Mortal Realms. Within Fyreslayer lodges, ancient stone halls, and Kharadron sky-ports, the duardin speak of a traveller older than the realms themselves. As the story goes, white-bearded Grombrindal appears in his people’s darkest moments.
READ IT BECAUSE
This set of legendary tales, including a novella and seven short stories, will satisfy your hunger for duardin-themed action. The mysterious White Dwarf appears all across the Mortal Realms in times of great need, forging a legend as strong as his axe-arm.
THE STORIES
Wielding words just as surely as his axe, the White Dwarf guides his people and cleaves victory from certain defeat. Few have faced him in battle and lived to tell the tale. Against orruks, the Ruinous Powers, and untold horrors, the duardin will see the truth in their enduring legend.
In The Best Laid Schemes, the defenders of Horncrag must repel a Kruleboyz invasion, led by the newly-crowned Warden Queen Breyja and her mysterious ally.
White-Haired Daemon brings us to a series of battles with the Flesh-eater Courts, whose efforts are continually stymied by a fierce duardin warrior.
Old White-Fur tells of a Skaven attempt to a stronghold defended by duardin warriors. Persistent rumours of a duardin spirit are ignored, but only for so long.
In This Rough Beast, a coterie of vampiric Blood Knights is systematically hunted down one by one as Grombrindal secures revenge for his people.
The Hunt for Whitebeard brings us back to the Skaven, as a Grey Seer receives a vision of Grombrindal and sets a Deathmaster to take him down on the eve of battle.
In All That Could Be Done, a duardin War Surgeon is aided by a peculiar warrior who urges him to heal a wounded warrior while fighting off seemingly endless hordes of Nurgle's followers.
Fire and Fungi pits the Fyreslayers against a massive horde of Gloomspite Gitz, aided by none other than Grombrindal and their duardin ingenuity.
In An Oath of Redemption, Grombrindal takes on a savage beast summoned by Darkoath warriors, giving way for a duardin mercenary to challenge the chieftain to a duel.
