Legions Imperialis Journal Strategia: Ruin of the Salamanders
Legions Imperialis Journal Strategia: Ruin of the Salamanders
On Isstvan V, the Salamanders had been broken. Their warriors had been slaughtered, their Primarch lost and presumed dead. Their wargear, abandoned during the battle, had been claimed as spoils of war by the Traitors and turned against the Loyalist cause. It was a defeat so utterly complete that most forces would never have recovered, becoming just one more laurel for Horus to fix upon his standard as he marched upon Terra. Yet, the sons of Vulkan did not succumb to such a fate.
This narrative gaming supplement for Legions Imperialis takes you to the black sands of Isstvan V, where you can play out your own version of the Dropsite Massacre. Can you lead the Salamanders to a breakout, or will you crush them with the Iron Warriors in a historical mission? There are also fresh ways to play the Legiones Astartes with additional Detachments and Formations, as well as Iconic Formations.
Inside this 48-page softcover book, you will find:
– Death on the Black Sands: A detailed account of the annihilation of the Salamanders Legion during the Dropsite Massacre on Isstvan V.
– Historical Mission: Refight the catastrophic slaughter at the Crucible, where the retreating Salamanders attempt to break out of a trap laid by the Iron Warriors.
– Additional Formations: Discover extra ways to field the Legiones Astartes, along with Iconic Formations for the Legiones Astartes, Iron Warriors, and Loyalist Solar Auxilia.
– Extra Detachments: Unleash Legion tanks, super-heavy tanks, Saturnine Terminators, Saturnine Dreadnoughts, Saturnine Commanders, and Araknae weapons platforms.
