The Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy ‘Two Thin Coats’ Paint Range is a range of paints developed from the ground up with some of the best paint development chemists in the world. These are not paints we just bought off the shelf and bottled.
We developed each colour to meet our high standards of what we thought a miniature paint should be. We have been working in partnership with Trans Atlantis Games to create a set of paints that would be useful to any level of hobbyist. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned painter, we believe that you’ll find using these paints an absolute joy to use! We are both extremely excited for hobbyists around the world to get their hands on these paints and to give them a whirl…or to apply two thin coats!
The intuitive and easy-to-learn painting method makes it easier to start painting miniatures. The colour series was created using the BSL (Base, Shadow, Light) method. The BSL method provides colour-matched triads of hues for the base, shade, and accent. This will greatly facilitate the choice that is necessary for a particular shade. Especially the less experienced miniature painters can easily set accents and shades with the brush.
The new Game Color formula improves user-friendliness. The Game Color colours are distributed very evenly, are opaque, intense and saturated. They are easy to apply and blend with a matte finish. The selected pigments have a high colour intensity and offer a high resistance to fading due to UV radiation. The new formula with state-of-the-art resins offers optimal durability against wear and tear and prevents brush strokes from showing. Game Color is designed for use with a brush, but can also be sprayed with an airbrush if diluted appropriately.
For use with an airbrush thin Game Colors with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner to a milky consistency.
Game Colors are supplied in a 18 ml. bottle with eyedropper. The new r-PET (recycled/recyclable) plastic bottle is completely transparent, improving colour visualization and reinforcing Acrylicos Vallejo’s commitment to sustainability and the environment. The new bottles comes supplied with a security seal.
